Return to Work Program

Whether your job requires physical labor or sitting at a desk, pain is frequently the by-product of a professional life.  And when pain is severe enough to keep you out of work, it does more than impact your ability to earn a living.  It can also affect your ability to perform household activities and participate in the many other activities you would otherwise enjoy.  Now you can get help.  DPI offers one of the most advanced, comprehensive and successful return to work programs in the Valley.  We can effectively reduce or eliminate pain associated with many work injuries including:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica
  • Herniated discs
  • Repetitive stress disorders
  • Orthopedic injuries
  • Hip/shoulder/knee pain
  • Sacroiliac joint pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Tendonitis
  • Bursitis

At DPI, you’ll find a leading-edge return to work program delivered by board-certified and fellowship-trained Anesthesiologists and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians.  These doctors work together with physical and occupational therapists and behavioral health practitioners to help manage your pain.  Our health care providers also work closely with case managers, insurance carriers, and employers in order to streamline the process. If your insurance carrier requests an independent medical examination (IME), our PM&R doctors are certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.

Our goal is to assess patients with work-related injuries as soon as possible so the patient and the employer do not lose valuable time waiting for the appropriate treatment.  We then implement conservative or non-surgical treatments including medical management, physical and occupational therapy, interventional spine and joint procedures, and behavioral health that may help avoid costly or unnecessary surgeries.  Our multidisciplinary, comprehensive and individualized treatment programs are geared towards relieving your pain so you can get back to work and back to your life.
